Teaching
We now have four professors, one associate professor, three assistant professors and two lectures teaching in the university.
Research
We conduct more than three research projects by Ministry of Science and Technology each year. We have published 25 papers on SCI journals for the last three years which are ranked third among all divisions of family medicine in Taiwan.
Services
We participated in integrated health care delivery system in Hsinyi Township in Nantou County to provide high-quality medical services for people living in remote areas and won the second “National Biotechnology Medical Quality Award”. In 2009, we were awarded the “Health Promoting Community” certification by Bureau of Health Promotion, the “Symbol of national Quality” among the hospital and community services group by Institute for Biotechnology and Medicine Industry (IBMI), and funded by the project , “Telehealth and Telecare Services Model,” of Ministry of Economic Affairs.
Palliative Care
In 2006, we were awarded the “Hospice Quality Awards” by Hospice Foundation of Taiwan commissioned by Bureau of Health Promotion.
Geriatric Medicine
In September 2012 and September 2015, we passed the aged-friendly certification (Excellence Awards).
In 2016, we were awarded “Health Promoting Hospital- Care for The Elderly Living Alone and Love Interconnection” (Excellence Awards) by Bureau of Health Promotion.

In the topic of “Flip it! The Ubiquitous Electronic Health Education Services” among the health equity category in the selection of “The Model of Health Promoting Hospital and Creative Project”, we were awarded the Merit Award, integrating CMUH One Click to Medical Services App, Central Asia One Click to Medical Services App、Senior Citizen Health Bank App、Little Information Scientist App and Central Asia health network , by Health Bureau of Taichung City Government.

Mobile platform for health education and staying health was awarded the Bronze Award and the Potential Award among the healthcare category in the 17th Healthcare Quality Improvement Campaign (HQIC) by Joint Commission of Taiwan. On the concept of mobile learning, we combined facilities in hospital, cloud platform and mobile devices, including audio guidance, cloud-based platform for multimedia learning, Central Asia health network, Central Asia App, LINE@App (LINEat), Facebook fans club and YouTube.
